As with many areas of the UK snow has been falling almost all day in Leicestershire. Its made for extremely hazardous driving conditions with compacted snow and sludge causing vehicles to skid and collide, I personally have witnessed several vehicles loosing control. I did however make it into work although it did take me 20 minutes or so extra, on the right is a picture of the car park which had around 4″ of snow in places.
The snow cleared a little on the main roads during the day which eased driving conditions, however this evening I had to drive into the city, the deteriorating weather and the rush hour traffic combined to cause chaos. The 10 mile or so journey took around 1hr 45mins.
As much as I love snow, hopefully tomorrow will see better conditions.
